1.Define User Personas
- To ensure an optimal user experience, we identified three key personas based on customer behavior patterns:
- Busy Professionals: Individuals seeking a quick and hassle free ordering experience during lunch breaks or after work. They prefer fast navigation, clear pricing, and express checkout options.
- Families & Groups: Customers ordering for multiple people who value detailed menu descriptions, combo deals, and customization options for shared meals.
- Pizza Enthusiasts: Food lovers exploring unique pizza varieties and seasonal specials. They appreciate rich imagery, ingredient details, and recommendations for popular dishes.
2. Gather User Insights
- Users prefer a one click reordering feature for their favorite pizzas.
- Customers frequently search for discount deals and combo offers on the homepage.
- Many users expect ingredient details and allergen information for informed decision making.
- Mobile users emphasized the need for quick loading times and a minimal checkout process to improve order completion rates.
3. Usability Testing & Feedback Loop
To refine the platform, we implemented usability testing with real users:
Testing Scenarios: Users were asked to place an order, locate combo deals, and find restaurant contact details.
UI/UX Design
Visual Appeal:
- Does the website have an inviting, warm aesthetic that aligns with a pizzeria’s cozy vibe? Ideally, it should use earthy tones (Blue, Orange, Grey and white tone) to create a welcoming feel.
- High quality images of pizzas, toppings, and ingredients should be prominently featured.
Layout and Navigation:
- The menu categories should be easily accessible (e.g., pizzas, sides, beverages).
- Clear CTAs (like Order Now, View Menu, etc.) should stand out for better conversion.
Typography & Readability:
- Fonts should be easy to read, especially for menu items and descriptions. A casual yet clear typeface can enhance the pizzeria’s brand identity.
Mobile Responsiveness:
- Since food ordering is often done via mobile, the website should adapt seamlessly to smaller screens with clickable buttons and easy scrolling.
